The Camden Alliance of Healthcare Providers

Who We Are

The Camden Alliance of Healthcare Providers is a network of primary healthcare practitioners in the City of Camden seeking to improve the access and quality of care for all of our city's residents.

The Alliance comprises a diverse group of primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physicians' assistants, and other healthcare providers. It meets quarterly for networking, discussion, and educational opportunities. 

The Alliance was created to support community-based healthcare providers who are committed to improving community health. They face  constant challenges in delivering care in the urban environment.  


 

 


Our Goals

The Alliance is guided by our commitment to the following goals:

  • To provide a forum where urban practitioners can network and share resources to community improve the health.
  • To create public awareness of the role and impact that the community-based practitioners have on the health of residents.
  • To improve access and availability of healthcare by increasing and sustaining the number of private practitioners in Camden City.
  • To provide continuing education opportunities for members.
  • To increase healthcare career opportunities for minorities in the City of Camden.


Membership

The Camden Alliance of Healthcare Providers requests a nominal fee of $25 per member, per year. This helps defray the costs associated with our quarterly meetings and enables us to provide members with the resources, assistance, and support they need expand and improve their service and practice.   Click here to join now!



Meetings

The Camden Alliance of Healthcare Providers meetings are held quarterly at the Octagon Room of the of the Rutgers-Camden Campus Center. The first portion of the meetings is devoted to a time of general networking and discussion (breakfast is served during this time).   The second portion of the meetings is designated for professional education, where CME credit is offered (AMA/AAFP/AOA Category 1).   Speakers address various topics relating to community healthcare administration and delivery.

The Camden Resource Guide is a web-based directory of data viewable by interactive maps.   The digital mapping of the collected data was conducted as a project by the youth at Hopeworks 'N Camden ( www.hopeworks.org).
